The Sensex fell 49 points to 72,480 on Wednesday as several BSE 100 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows. PB Fintech, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia Industries, Tata Consumer Products, Godrej Consumer Products, Bharat Electronics and Indian Oil were among them.
